    Have you received an offer of admission? Come celebrate.
    Takes place from 11 AM to 2 PM in Conrod’s (2F.4).

FRIDAY, APRIL 10

  • Form a team and take part in the Tony Proudfoot ErgathonÌý(Rowing team annual fundraiser) Friday, April 10 at 7 PM. Sign up formÌý.
  • Peace Panel – Panels de la Paix. A Peace Panel will take place on Friday, April 10. The theme is Paix et nature. The panel will be held in French from 1 PM to 2:15 PM in the Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ Theatre (2000 Atwater Avenue).

Happening today, April 2

Please come join us to explore and celebrate Elephant, an exhibition of work by Joshua Vettivelu and Alex Pouliot. It is at Dawson's very own art gallery in 2G.0.

Light refreshments will be served from 5 to 8 PM in the Warren G. Flowers Art Gallery (2G.0).

Addressing the 'elephant in the room' of male identities and violence, these artists present works as subtle as they are astute.

Attention ALC students

From March 30 - April 7, returning students in the Arts, Literature & Communication program can select ALC course option preferences for the Fall 2026 semesterÌýif you have any courses with options (choices) proposed to you for next semester. Go toÌýÌý→ Registration and Course Change → Course Option/Preference Selection Form. The deadline is Tuesday, April 7 at 11:30 PM.Ìý

Not sure what career path to follow? Want to explore your options before the term ends? The Career Resource Centre will be hosting its final workshop sets of the semester — don’t miss out!

Register on (look for Student Services → Career Resource Centre Workshops) and choose one of the following date sets:

  • Thursdays at 1 PMÌý (April 9 & 16)

  • Mondays at 10:30 AM (April 13 & 20)

  • Wednesdays at 12:30 PM (April 15 & 22)

Each set includes two sessions:

  • Session 1 – Career 101:ÌýLearn about the career development process, essential skills, and educational pathways. You’ll also gain access to the AFC Holland Psychometric Assessment.

  • Session 2 – Career Planning:ÌýReview your assessment results and discover resources to help you align your interests and goals with possible occupations.

Submit your writing for a chance to be published in Creations Journal

Open to all Dawson students, the Literature Profile is opening submissions for the Creations Journal until Friday, April 17! Contributions of poetry, short stories, visual art, creative non-fiction, and other forms of writing are welcome.

The guidelines for submissions:

  • Word count: 1,200 words max. (shorter pieces welcome)
  • No promotion of hateful messages (sexism, racism, homophobia, etc)
  • No content aimed solely to shock (extreme gore, pornography, etc)
  • No spread of misinformation

Attention AEC students

TEF French Testing is available at Dawson’s testing centre. Students who need to prove their French language proficiency to graduate can register for the TEF test. Upcoming sessions take place on April 17, May 22, and June 19. The test is held in Room 2H.1. More information is available .

ICYMI: Apply for an award by April 12

Close to $10,000 in application‑based awards is up for grabs for Dawson students this winter. Apply by April 12 through (Awards and Scholarships under Student Services) for opportunities like the Campus Life Awards, Mahsa Amini Scholarship, Jeff Barnaby Award for Film Production, and more (each $250 – $3,000).
