Close to $10,000 in application-based awards for Dawson students this winter

Apply by April 12

The Awards Office is accepting applications now through Sunday, April 12 for several Winter 2026 awards, including the Campus Life Awards, Mahsa Amini Scholarship, Jeff Barnaby Award for Film Production, and more, each valued between $250 and $3,000.

Apply by April 12 through (Look for Awards and Scholarships under the Student Services menu). Reference letters may be required.

Happening Today (Friday): Brain Awareness Week

Open to all students, there are two more events TODAY for Brain Awareness Week at Dawson:

Musicians/singers wanted for April 16 evening fundraiser

If you’re looking for an opportunity to share your musical talent with Dawson’s community and help support a meaningful fundraiser, we are seeking a student or group of students to perform live at the annual Artists in Bloom fundraiser benefitting the vernissage shows of graduating students in the Illustration and Visual Arts programs as well as student mental health.

Musicians/singers are needed on Thursday, April 16 from 6 PM to 8 PM at Dawson.

  • WEDNESDAY: Still looking to join a club? You're in luck! A Swab The World chapter has now been created at Dawson. Swab The World is a non-profit founded by leukemia survivor Mai Duong to increase BIPOC representation in global stem cell registries. Come see us on April 1, from 10:30 AM to 2:00 PM! We'll be waiting for you at the second floor cafeteria :)
  • THURSDAY: Third-year Nursing Students’ Health Expo: 8:30 AM – 11:30 AM in the Lower Atrium (metro level). Learn more about topics such as mental health, physical wellness, nutrition and other aspects of well-being. Connect with peers and support the next generation of nursing professionals.

Visitors from across Canada praised the College’s warm hospitality and excellent organization. A huge thank-you to the Athletics team and the 100+ volunteers who made it all possible. Congratulations to our Div. 1 Dawson Blues women’s basketball team on finishing fourth in Canada!
