Their book, titled, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.routledge.com\/Beyond-Womens-Words-Feminisms-and-the-Practices-of-Oral-History-in-the\/Srigley-Zembrzycki-Iacovetta\/p\/book\/9780815357711\"><em>Beyond Women&#8217;s Words: Feminisms and the Practices of Oral History in the Twenty-First Century<\/em><\/a> (Routledge, 2018) brings together scholars and activists in the field of feminist oral history. It uses Sherna Berger Gluckand Daphne Patai\u2019s classic text,<i> Women\u2019s Words, <\/i>as a platform to reflect on how feminisms, broadly defined, have influenced, and continue to influence, the wider field of oral history. This remarkable collection brings together an international, multi-generational, and multidisciplinary line-up of authors whose work highlights the great variety in understandings of, and approaches to, feminist oral histories.<\/p>\n<p>The Oral History Association&#8217;s Annual Best Book Award was established in 1993. It recognizes a published book that uses oral history to make a significant contribution to contemporary scholarship; and\/or significantly advances understanding of important theoretical issues in oral history; and\/or is an outstanding example of sound oral history methodology.
