Deadlines for SAAC services
Review Eligibility for Services
Students who have never registered with the SAAC and wish to review their eligibility are asked to complete the聽聽form and upload their medical document, or psycho-educational evaluation issued聽by an聽authorized Quebec licensed professional.聽 Once we receive the completed form, you will be contacted to schedule an appointment with an Adapted Services counsellor.
Deadline for Winter semesters: April 25
Deadline for Fall semesters: November 15
Requests received after this date will be reviewed for the following semester. (very few exceptions will apply)
Request and Confirm Accommodations (current students with SAAC)
If you were previously registered with the SAAC for accommodations, you聽must聽request and reactivate them聽every semester.
You can request your accommodations by using the 鈥溾�� option in our online module.聽Once your Adapted Services Counsellor has approved your request, you will receive your IEP via email to your Dawson student email account that you must confirm to activate your accommodations.
Deadlines to request accommodations:
Winter semesters: April 25
Fall semester: November 15
Once your counsellor has approved your accommodations, you must confirm your IEP (Individual Education Plan) in order to activate your accommodations.
Deadlines to confirm your IEP:
Winter semesters: April 30
Fall semesters:聽November 20
Note-Taking Payment Information
It is important that you provide us with the necessary information before the semester deadlines. Unfortunately, failure to do so may result in not getting paid.
Deadline for Winter Semesters: April 25
Deadline for Fall Semesters: November 15
Test and Exam sign up - in session
Minimum ONE WEEK – 7 DAYS BEFORE the date of the test (this includes weekends)
If your test/exam is on:
- Monday – then Monday is the last day to sign up
- Tuesday – then Tuesday聽is the last day to sign up
- Wednesday – then Wednesday聽is the last day to sign up
- Thursday – then Thursdayis the last day to sign up
- Friday – then Friday is the last day to sign up
- Saturday – then Saturday is the last day to sign up
Final Exam sign up - during Final Exam period
If you have exams scheduled to take place during the Final Exam period, the DEADLINES to sign up for them are:
Winter semesters: April 30聽
Fall semesters: November 20
